      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation and SMARTEAM - Editor products. This configuration provides the core functionality of a SMARTEAM collaborative PDM system.

      Navigator Configuration (SNV)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation and SMARTEAM - Navigator products. This configuration enables enterprise users who do not need to modify data and files to securely search, browse, and view engineering and Office documents.

      Web Editor Configuration (SWE)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation and SMARTEAM - Web Editor products. This configuration provides remote enterprise users with secure, comprehensive lifecycle control over SMARTEAM-managed files and information.

      Community Workspace Configuration (SCT)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation and SMARTEAM - Community Workspace products. This configuration enables companies and product teams to easily and securely manage and collaborate on product information within their extended enterprise and across the supply chain.

      Engineering Configuration (SEG)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation, SMARTEAM - Editor, SMARTEAM  Workflow and SMARTEAM - BOM products. This configuration offers a comprehensive RDM solution, together with the appropriate CAD integration. It provides a collaborative environment for secure, automated document management, BOM management, and workflow and change management solutions.

      CATIA Team RDM Configuration (TDM)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation, SMARTEAM - Editor and SMARTEAM CATIA Integration products. CATIA Team RDM Configuration (TDM) provides a fully collaborative PLM solution to CATIA V5 and ENOVIA DMU Navigator users and lays the groundwork for further PLM capability provided by other SMARTEAM products. Intuitive and easy-to-use, TDM, which is Windows-based and, when used with SMARTEAM - Web Editor, also Web-capable, enables CATIA users to manage large quantities of design documents from directly within the familiar CATIA environment. It provides a collaborative environment for secure, automated document management, BOM management, and workflow and change management solutions, as well as full and robust integration with CATIA V5.

      Multi-site Administration Configuration (SMA)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation, SMARTEAM - Editor and SMARTEAM Multi-site products. This configuration provides a database and vaults that are replicated from - and synchronized with - those at the original site. It allows company users working in different physical locations to access the same database, share the same resources and files, and work on mutual projects. The configuration is purchased per replicated site.

      NEW Gateway Administration Configuration (SGA)

      Comprises SMARTEAM - Foundation, SMARTEAM - Editor, and SMARTEAM  Gateway. This configuration provides a gateway to ERP systems and a wide range of EAI applications. The configuration is purchased per server.

      NEW Development Suite Configuration (SDV)

      Comprises the SMARTEAM - Foundation, SMARTEAM - Editor and SMARTEAM Development Suite products. This configuration extends the SMARTEAM platform across any IT infrastructure, providing full access to SMARTEAM APIs via SMARTEAM Web Services and enabling the import and export of SMARTEAM data with legacy systems, via iXF packages. 
 

Enterprise Service products

 

      The Enterprise Service products provide the infrastructure for all SMARTEAM solutions. They support and proliferate the value of the SMARTEAM PLM environment throughout an extended enterprise, as well as into complementary applications.

      SMARTEAM- Foundation (FDN)

      Provides a complete, enterprise product information collaboration platform that serves as the infrastructure for all SMARTEAM products. By means of SMARTEAM - Foundation, product teams across the extended enterprise collaborate on product data in a concurrent engineering environment. FDN delivers full organizational collaboration across all enterprise applications and is configured for optimal use within a company's existing IT infrastructure.

      As manufacturing enterprises grow, the need to control and share vast amounts of product information grows exponentially. This product leverages a unique combination of leading-edge technologies to create a robust, secure, open, flexible and scalable collaborative product data management solution, enabling global manufacturers to achieve their goals. In support of these technologies, it also provides secure, real-time access to product data for authorised users from virtually anywhere on the globe.

      SMARTEAM - Foundation provides secure, real-time access to product data for authorised users, from virtually anywhere on the globe. The SMARTEAM repository ensures data integrity and core technologies enable global access. Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) support enables all SMARTEAM products to support authentication of users against an LDAP server (such as Windows Active Directory, IBM Directory Server and others).

      This product is a requirement for each SMARTEAM user and is therefore included in all SMARTEAM configuration packages. 

      SMARTEAM-Multi-site (MUS)

      Delivers an asynchronous replication solution that is designed for the distributed environment and enables dispersed team members to collaborate efficiently on product data. By maintaining data integrity and high performance at all sites, MUS allows users working in different physical locations to access the same database, share the same resources and files and work on mutual projects. The accessed data is identical for all users, while all modifications are propagated to every site.

      SMARTEAM-Gateway (GWY)

       Provides bi-directional data exchange between SMARTEAM and multiple enterprise applications, bringing the benefits of revision management, change control, and collaboration to global enterprises. GWY also reduces the product development cycle by connecting an organisation's design data to its various enterprise applications. It currently supports Microsoft** BizTalk® and will do the same for IBM WebSphere Business Integrator in the near future.

      SMARTEAM - OA Adapter (OAA)

      Provides product data exchange and business integration between SMARTEAM and Oracle 11i, enabling a higher level of business efficiency and profitability throughout the extended enterprise. In combination with SMARTEAM Gateway, OAA facilitates the transfer of Item Masters, Documents, BOM, ECO, and more between the two applications, in support of catalogue entries, categories, and more.

      OAA provides pre-packaged business integration scenarios, for use in combination with SMARTEAM - Gateway.

      SMARTEAM - SA Adapter (SAA)

      Provides product data exchange and business integration between SMARTEAM and SAP R/3, enabling a higher level of business efficiency and profitability throughout the extended enterprise. In combination with SMARTEAM-Gateway, SAA facilitates the transfer of Item Masters, Documents, BOM, ECO, and more between the two applications, in support of catalogue entries, categories, and more.

      SAA provides pre-packaged business integration scenarios, for use in combination with SMARTEAM - Gateway, as well as SAP adapter tools for customising an organisation's Business Process Modelling.

      i-PlatformSDK

      Enables the integration of SMARTEAM with different environment applications, where the SMARTEAM API is accessible via a Web interface, from any platform. This component delivers tools that integrate robust revision management, design collaboration, change management, advanced search and retrieval and more. It can also be integrated into any proprietary or external system or enterprise application that resides within the extended enterprise or across the supply chain.

      SmartlXF SDK

      Comprises technology that enables two-way communication between different data management systems by providing a standard mechanism for product information packaging and manipulation. Product information can then be transferred between any two systems or applications. In many companies, data silos often operate in isolation from one another in the case of applications such as PDM, ERPand BOM. As a result of this lack of integration, data is often exchanged manually via time-consuming and error-prone processes. It can be impossible for different PDM systems within the same company or supply chain to talk effectively to one another. The SmartlXF SDK component eliminates these barriers by providing simple tools for sharing product data between different systems within the organisation and across the supply chain.
