The "Orloff" is a genuine, historic Hydra mansion, turned to an A' class hotel.  It has all characteristics of the traditional architecture of Hydra: thick walls, hidden interior courtyards and a beautiful garden. The house was built by the admiral G.Orloff in 1798, and has been lovingly restored to Hydra's finest and most characterisitic hotel.

Hydra, at the time, was one of the rare territories with relative freedom, and was called "little England" thanks to its powerful fleet and great wealth.

G. Orloff fell in love with the island and decided to built a house on it. This is up to this day, the Orloff House, a hospitable space for fun and relaxation.

The most beautiful island of the Saronic Gulf, Hydra is very close to Athens, only one hour from Piraeus by hydrofoil. Many connections during the day and almost one every hour, in the summer, make it an accessible getaway.
