CONCLUSION
Modality - the phenomenon of multi-and therefore in the linguistic literature expressed different views on the nature of this phenomenon. Semantic approaches dealing with modality are traditionally based on the principles of modal logic. There are different approaches to studying this phenomenon. Such scientist as V.V. Vinogradov, V.Z. Panfilov, G.A. Zolotova, L.S.Yermolaeva, G.V. Kolshanskiy, N. Petrov, F.R.Palmer, G.J. Lyons, A.B.Bondarenko tried to explain the notion of modality and created different modality classification. According to their numerous work and articles we can conclude that modality in Modern English is expressed through phonological means, lexico-grammatical, lexical and grammatical means. English has nine full modals verbs as a well as four quasi-modal verbs, which possess some but not all properties of prototypical modals. The nine English modals are can, could, may, might, must, shall, should, will, and would. The four quasi-modals in English include ought to, used to, would rather, and had better (had best). I another cases modality can be expressed with the help of modal words, mood form or even intonation.
