Государственный флаг Соединенных Штатов Америки состоит из 13 горизонтальных полос, 7 красных, чередующихся с 6 белый, а в верхнем углу, у древка, прямоугольные синем поле, или кантона, содержащих 50 пятиконечной белой звезды. Полосы символизируют 13 колоний, которые первоначально представляли собой Соединенные Штаты Америки. Звезды представляют 50 штатов Союза.
