Sport in Uzbekistan

Over the centuries, Uzbekistan has had a tradition of fostering equestrians and wrestlers (palvans). Some of the sports that originate in this country are the kurash, a type of upright wrestling, along with belbogli kurash, turon, and boyqurgan.
